Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home?
There are so many things I love about the flat (it's bright and well-proportioned and has a good amount of storage) but probably the thing I love most is the garden. It's south facing so despite entirely lacking green fingers, everything I've planted grows brilliantly! There's a rambling rose that comes up with huge clusters of pink flowers like wedding bouquets every summer. I also love how quiet the flat is - I thought that because it's so close to the Co-op and only a few minutes' walk to the station that it might be noisy, but I've found it to be really peaceful. The neighbours are lovely too, which helps!

Why are you moving?
I'm sad to leave the flat behind, as I've really loved renovating and then living here, but I'm having a baby so it's time to find a new project with a second bedroom!

What do you love about the area?
There's so much to enjoy about Forest Hill: I love the Horniman Museum and Gardens, with its inexplicably fat stuffed walrus, fantastic views over London and weekly farm market. I really recommend Wren Cakes' stall for anyone with a sweet tooth! There's also a good amount of green space (as well the Horniman there's Honor Oak rec, One Tree Hill and Sydenham woods, among others), so I've been able to create some really great running routes and go for lots of picnics with friends. Overall, it's a great mix of well-connected (15 minutes to London Bridge, for example) and local character.
