Owners Comments:

What do you love most about your home? The apartment benefits from being a modern build but designed to look Victorian, as a result it has character and is extremely cosy and secure with great natural light as well as being pretty from the outside too. When you walk in there is just a really great feeling of homeliness due to the layout - one of my favourite features is the fact it is on split levels which makes it feel roomy and more spacious than you might expect.

Another huge bonus is our fantastic neighbours: Over the years this building seems to attract lovely people and you couldn't ask for a nicer, more considerate and friendly bunch.

I've lived here for 15 years (since the house was built), it has been a wonderful home and I have loved every minute of being here.

Why are you moving? My partner and I are moving out of London to be nearer family in Cardiff. We'll be very sad to leave both the apartment and the East Dulwich area.

What do you love about the area? East Dulwich is such a brilliant place to live with everything you could want from multiple parks and green spaces to a host of independent shops, pubs and cafes as well as gyms, yoga and a beautiful Picturehouse Cinema.

The amount of green space around East Dulwich still astounds me, from the Victorian splendour of the huge Dulwich Park with its boating lake, to Peckham Rye Park which boasts an arboretum as well as Japanese and American gardens. Nearby also is my favourite spot: Dawson's Hill nature reserve (a great place to watch fireworks across London on New Year's Eve) as well as Dulwich Woods where you can easily believe yourself far away from the city. All this within 10-15 minutes' walk of the apartment.

Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Horniman Museum are both walking distance away and wonderful places to take visiting family and friends, the latter has incredible views across London and a weekend farmer's market.

The welcoming Great Exhibition pub is just around the corner from the apartment and does a great quiz, while the Herne Tavern nearby has a big beer garden for sunny days and Frank's Bar in Peckham is a bustling summer hang-out with a view. Our favourite cafes are Boulangerie Jade on Lordship Lane for hot chocolate and patisserie or the French Café Bistro on Forest Hill Road for delicious breakfasts, while the welcome at the South East Cakery (which also does scrummy toasties) is second-to-none. We love Lorenzo's, an unpretentious Italian trattoria which also does delivery, or for special occasions we always book Franklins.

The proximity of East Dulwich to trendy Peckham means there's always a new and cool bar, restaurant or yoga studio to try out while grand Dulwich Village feels like a day trip to the country.

We feel that East Dulwich has everything you could want yet it is also really easy to get into Central London and have absolutely loved living here, we'll miss it immensely.
