The living room is my favourite room - lots of natural light all day long. It's always felt spacious and peaceful to me. The neighbours are great as well, which is so important. No crazy parties but friendly enough to have a chat with. Why are you moving? We moved in just after getting married and it was the perfect size for the two of us (we both work from home sometimes, so that extra double room was great). When our daughter arrived, we tried so hard to make it work because we love the flat so much, but with the need for office space as well as a child's bedroom, we realised it was time to move on and let someone else enjoy the flat to its full potential. What do you love about the area? Crystal Palace is an amazing place to live! People who live here genuinely care about the community and work very hard for it. The local shops are mostly not chains, which makes it a friendly, interesting place to go shopping or for coffee/cake. There is always something to do in the evening, too - as well as the cinema, pubs and restaurants on the triangle (the bus stops outside the house if the walk up the hill doesn't appeal), there is a nice Italian place on the corner of Anerley Rd near our house, and a small but excellently stocked bar called the Douglas Fir just down the hill. The park next door to our house is lovely and especially handy now that we have a toddler: the playground is about 30 seconds from our front door, and when she's tired of that there are always birds to feed by the lake. Crystal Palace Park is great too with its Victorian dinosaurs and maze. We are genuinely sad to be leaving the area and expect to be returning to visit often.
