comments from the owner:

1) What do you love most about your home

Natural Light - as a southwest facing apartment we get direct sunlight on the property - and specifically on the balcony - from early morning until late evening. The floor-to-ceiling windows distributed throughout the flat provide wonderful lighting and add to an overall spacious feel, while the stylish brick-finish to the bedroom windows provide privacy.

The Layout - some 1 bedroom apartments can feel quite cramped but the layout of APT 34's open plan is conducive to compartmentalising certain areas within the living space - i.e. a living room, a dinning area, a kitchen, or even creating a separate office area in the main bedroom. The balcony provides a great retreat, whether a coffee on a winter morning, or an iced drink on a summer's day, in addition to another 'work from home spot' that is quite peaceful given we are on the fifth floor.

The Finish - everything from the premium materials chosen for the tiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and wooden floors, all the way to the clean and modern colour palette and strategic placement of mirrors throughout to add a sensation of spaciousness, has been crafted with the highest level of attention and meticulously maintained.

2) What do you love about the area?

Location - a 20 minute walk to Tower Bridge along the Thames path, a 7 minute walk to the Jubilee line via Canada Water, a 10 minute walk from award-winning Southwark park and a 5 minute walk to various coffee shops, restaurants, and major retailers (Tesco, Sainsburys, Nisa etc). With superb connections to Canary Wharf, London Bridge and the West End, the regeneration of Canada Water has brought along an array of vibrant bars, shops and restaurants.

Neighbourhood - there is a real community feel on Quebec Way, especially on a summer's day when most people - and dogs! - retreat to the ecological park for a BBQ or gather at the ground-floor level cafe for an afternoon ice cream. With a primary school located to our right and a daycare nursery to our left, our street is wholesome, protected and filled with friendly faces. In addition, all homeowners at Claremont are added to a building Whatsapp group where any issues, concerns, events or updates are shared with all homeowners in the building. Our lovely front-door receptionist, May, always greets us with a warm smile, a lovely conversation and sometimes even spoils us with candy.
Tranquility - backing on to a vast ecological park, Claremont House pairs central London city living with the rare peaceful tranquility offered by a woodland and ecological park.
