Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home? I love how light it is, and the high ceilings! It's beautiful in the mornings when it's sunny, especially in the kitchen which is a stunning space - it's why I bought the flat in the first place and I still love it now. There's so much space and storage too, and it's been especially brilliant being able to have a dedicated 'office corner' this year while I've been working from home rather than working in a bedroom.
Why are you moving? I'm moving slightly out of London with my partner - I'll be so sad to leave, but there's an opportunity we can't turn down!
What do you love about the area? I love how much green space there is; Telegraph Hill, Peckham Rye and Nunhead Cemetery are all a short walk away and the area feels really leafy and green. I also LOVE the food, some of the best restaurants in South London are just around the corner - Kudu, Ganapati, Artusi (to name a few!). There are so many lovely shops (butcher, greengrocer, bakery, florist) on Nunhead Green which I'm a regular at... the barista at GOODCUP will be sorely missed.
Accommodation comprises entrance via the ground floor with stairs rising to the first floor level with two well sized double bedrooms, each with cast iron feature fireplaces and front and rear aspect respectively. A contemporary style bathroom with elegant tiling completes the first floor accommodation. The second floor is spanned by a superb, bright and spacious, open plan dual aspect reception/kitchen with vaulted ceiling, ample inbuilt storage and wonderful space for entertaining, relaxing and dining. The kitchen area comprises a sleek range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces and breakfast bar, incorporating inset sink unit, gas hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances.
The property is superbly located within just a short walk of Queens Road Peckham, Nunhead and New Cross Gate stations, for fast and frequent connections into Central London (notably 8 minutes to London Bridge from Queens Road), as well as numerous regular bus routes linking the surrounding area. "Nunhead, London, is one of the best places to live in 2021" as mentioned recently in The Times. There are an array of independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as supermarkets, within just a short distance, and the area is also well served by excellent local schools and open spaces.
