What do you love most about your home? The wow factor from family and friends has always been vista from our balcony and glass frontage . You get unobstructed panoramic views of the skyline looking west, making sunsets look especially beautiful. We love how the apartment works so well in each season too. In the summer we can pull back the glass completely to have a really large, cool and breezy apartment that's honestly a godsend during the heatwaves, and in the winter given the flat is so well insulated, we almost never need the heating on, and can enjoy the winter garden as outdoor space, whilst still getting in so much sunlight, even on short days. Practically the size of the apartment really worked well for us, its larger than many modern newbuilds, allowing for a large master bedroom and large spare room that can accommodate a king size bed and office space, meaning at least two people can comfortably work from home and have their own space.
Why are you moving? Staying in the area, but looking to add one or two more bedrooms.
What do you love about the area? Being at the heart of one of the coolest areas in London, right next to the station and being able to practically walk or cycle to work in the city made the location perfect for us, and is exactly why we hope to stay in the area. We're not quite tired yet of all that London has to offer and this location has it all. From brilliant pubs, the best restaurant openings, lovely parks, an art gallery a few floors below, frankly speaking, we find it very difficult to justify up sticks and leave for anything less. The apartment is also right next to the planned Peckham Coal Line, which is a community-led project to create a new linear park along the railway line, based on the concept of the high line in New York.
Accommodation comprises entrance hall with deep inbuilt storage, leading into the bright and spacious, open plan reception/kitchen with full width bi-folding doors opening onto the delightful enclosed winter garden with west-facing views, and ample space for relaxing, entertaining and dining. The kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching white fronted wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit, electric hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. There are two well-sized double bedrooms, each with plenty of space for free-standing furniture, and access into the winter garden from the smaller room. A stylish family bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant tiling completes the generous accommodation.
The property is superbly located within just a short walk of Queens Road Peckham and Peckham Rye stations for fast and frequent overground connections into Central London, as well as numerous regular bus routes linking the surrounding area. The High Street is close-by offering an array of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as supermarkets and a Tesco Metro. The area is also well served by excellent local schools and open spaces including nearby Peckham Rye Park and Common, and the neighbouring site of the planned Peckham Coal Line linear park.
Ideal as a first time or investment purchase, viewings of this beautiful apartment are highly recommended.
