Owners Comments:

What do you love most about your home? I feel very secure in this flat. You can leave the balcony door and windows open all night if it's hot and feel totally safe and at ease doing so. The views are absolutely amazing, especially at night time but you can get a different experience of the views throughout the day. You have a fabulous view of the very iconic Tower Bridge from the kitchen window which is frequently lit up in different colours on special occasions I.e. it is lit up in purple every Thursday for the NHS workers. You can also see the Shard building from the lobby balcony whilst you are waiting for the lift. Fireworks night and New Year's Eve are particularly special as you can see fireworks going off all over London from both the kitchen and living room window which is all open plan. It's a really spectacular experience. You can also see various other landmarks including Canary Wharf, Crystal Palace etc. The flat is also very spacious which I like. My neighbours are lovely and everyone in the block is really nice. There is a real community feel in this block / area and we all help each other out.

Why are you moving? I am moving because I have a 5 year old so I am moving out of London to buy a house with a garden. I am sad to be moving though and will really miss this flat and local area.

What do you love about the area? We are really lucky that we have the beautiful rose garden which is a glorious peaceful haven in the centre of london. A few minutes from us is the trendy Bermondsey street where you have a tapas bar, lovely pubs, French bistro, coffee shop, cocktail bars, to name a few. You can check out Sandra Rhodes fashion and textile museum. just past that you have the tennis courts which is lovely to have so close by. At the end of our road is a swimming pool which the public can use but not many people know about it as it is not hugely advertised and right next door to that is the rose theatre and the lovely rose gastro pub across from that. You can be a London Bridge station within a few minutes so you are very central for getting around London, or further afield if needed. They have opened lots of new shops in the station including Hamleys, Oliver Bonus, Cath Kidson, MAC, Ted Baker plus many more. There is also another parade of shops and restaurants to open soon underneath the arches. You can also get about Via the riverboat services which you can hop on at various nearby docking ports and get to places like Greenwich, Canary Wharf, the London Eye etc. There are quite a few Outstanding primary schools in the area and my daughters school was voted the top school in London this year by the daily telegraph. You have the famous Borough Market 5 minutes away in one direction with the Shakespeare globe theatre and clink prison museum nearby and then maltby Street Market 5 minutes away in the other direction. Along the river by tower bridge you have the Bridge Theatre, the wonderful children's Unicorn Theatre, the Ivy restaurant plus many more pubs, restaurants and coffee bars. It's particularly nice at Christmas time by the riverside with the Christmas markets taking place and in summer there is always plenty to do, especially by the south bank just past borough market. There is always lots of street entertainment down there plus you have the Tate Modern, the Oxo Tower, The Royal National Theatre plus much more. At the other side of Tower Bridge you have st Katherines dock marina. You are spoiled for markets, you have the very famous antiques market every Friday in the nearby Bermondsey square which is 5 minutes away, they. also have a farmers market there every Saturday. You also have the vinegar yard which is minutes away which has a flea market plus lots of bars etc. And you have Flat Iron square nearby as well.
