Full description

Accommodation comprises entrance via a half landing with access to useful bonus store room, leading into the bright and spacious open plan reception/kitchen, flooded with natural light from tall dual sash windows and offering ample space for relaxing and dining. The kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching white fronted wall and base units with work surfaces and metro-tiled splash-back, incorporating inset sink unit, gas hob with overhead extractor and electric oven, and further space for appliances. There is a spacious double bedroom with space for free-standing furniture, and a stylish bathroom with modern suite and elegant tiling.

The property is enviably located within easy access of transport links from Canonbury, Highbury & Islington and Dalston stations, as well as numerous regular bus routes all providing excellent cross-London connections. The area is well served by fashionable shops, bars and restaurants, with Stoke Newington's Church Street and Harringay Green Lanes just a short distance away. The lovely open spaces of Clissold Park are also close-by.

Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home? The high ceiling and the massive sash windows. They make the flat extra bright and airy . I also love the fact that we are looking out onto green foliages from the tall trees that lined our street.

Why are you moving? We love this flat and the area but we need to move on as our little girl is ready to have her own room.

What do you love about the area? I am local to the area for more than 10 years. I love this area as it is laid back and friendly. Everything I need is within walking distance. For green spaces, Clissold park is just at the end of the road. After the park, we often stop at one of the many cafes or visit the shops on Stoke Newington Church street. Highbury Fields is also only a short stroll away. My personal favorite though is the lesser-known New River Walk (entrance at St Paul's road near the station). It is a tranquil walk along a winding little river where you will find weeping willows and ducks. There is also Woodberry Wetlands just further up Green Lanes.

Foodies will be spoiled in this area. Green Lanes has a vibrant Turkish community. Alongside the many Turkish restaurants and off-licenses (the one nearest to us has got its own very popular bakery at the back, churning out freshly baked Turkish breads throughout the day), there are more and more new independent shops and restaurants popping up in the area. At Newington Green, you will find an amazing greengrocer, Jolene for coffee and sourdough, Belle Epoque for french patisserie, an artisan Swiss cheese shop that does the best baguette in town, a friendly Italian deli Gallo Nero and the local's favorite Acoustic Cafe where you can have brunch while soaking up the sun. Over at Highbury Barn, there is master butcher Godfrey's, the original award-winning cheese shop La Fromagerie and a fishmonger.

For those who are active, there is a gym with a swimming pool just 10 mins walk away and the Castle Climbing Center is just further down Green Lanes. My favourite running route is down the Regent Canal via de Beauvoir. From the canal, you can run to Victoria Park and beyond. Ref: ISL
