Full description

A bright first floor one double bedroomed flat located in a sought after private road in Highbury. The flat comprises a separate kitchen, large south facing reception, double bedroom, and bathroom whilst also having access to a storage locker which is perfect for bikes etc. The flat is exceptionally well located to the plethora of boutiques along Highbury Barn, most notably Mrs Lovell′s Greengrocers, Godfrey′s butchers, Bourne′s fishmongers and the exquisite La Fromagerie which has an insanely good cheese room. Highbury Fields with its tennis courts, open park and leisure centre are also on your doorstep and connect with Highbury & Islington′s Victoria Line at Highbury Corner and Upper Street, which itself offers an impressive array of boutiques, cafes and restaurants all the way to Angel (Northern Line). Comments from the owner: What do you love most about your home? We′ve been blessed to call Escuan Lodge home for the past three years. We fell in love with Aberdeen Park the first time we walked down the road - it′s beautiful, peaceful, and unlike anything that we′ve seen in the area. The flat itself is a dream. For a one-bed property, it′s very spacious and big enough to host friends or family without feeling crowded. It′s bright with nice big windows and beautiful leafy views, and for a couple of hoarders, all the storage space in the flat and in the shed at the back has been a godsend! Aberdeen Park is so serene, it has always felt safe, and it′s incredibly convenient for commuting, travelling across town, or exploring the local area. The flat will always have a special place in our heart. It was the first flat we owned, it was where we lived when we got engaged and married, and we couldn′t have wished for a better home to start our adventure together. Why are you moving? We′re moving because we′ve decided to relocate to the West Midlands to be closer to our family. Having lived in Highbury for close to four years, it was a real wrench to leave, and if we weren′t leaving London we′d 100% have tried to stay in the area. What do you love about the area? The location is ideal as it feels as if you′re in the suburbs but with the luxury of Central London at your doorstep thanks to the amazing transport links. It is so close to Highbury Fields and within walking distance of everything that Angel, Stoke Newington, Clissold Park and Finsbury Park have to offer. We′re keen runners, so Highbury Fields park run, Clissold Park and Woodberry Downs (a real hidden gem reservoir/nature reserve) and Regents Canal have all been favourites of ours. What′s more, Highbury is a haven for some of the very best independent food and drink establishments in London, guaranteed to elevate your dinner parties to the God tier! For the most incredible meat, there′s Godfrey′s, or Bourne′s fishmongers for fish and seafood. Mrs Lovells does the freshest fruit, veg, and flowers, and Highbury Vintners is the place to go for top-notch craft beer, wines or spirits. If you don′t feel like cooking, Iznik is a wonderful family-run Turkish restaurant, while The Beach Hut in the courtyard near Highbury Barn pub has got to be one of the best fish and chip shops in London. It′s sad to be moving on - just writing this makes our eyes water - but we′re excited that somebody else will be able to enjoy the flat and this unique neighbourhood as much as we have.
