Full description

In my opinion, Anna & Ed bought the best flat in the development. This 2 bedroom flat has the added benefit of 2 bathrooms and is beautifully presented throughout. In addition to having a secure parking space, there is also bike storage and did I mention the residents only gardens happen to be opposite your front door! The area has so much to offer from Finsbury & Clissold Park through to The Castle climbing centre, and reservoirs for sailing or ambling around the nature reserve.

Comments from the owner:

What do you love most about your home? Where to start? The most unexpected but amazing thing is how quiet it is! Not only can you not hear the neighbours, but there is next to no road noise, which given how close we are to a big road is fantastic. We also love watching the leaves change both in the central gardens at the front and the neighbours garden at the back. We get brilliant burnt oranges and reds in autumn. The shared garden is fabulous as you get all of the garden and none of the work! Having two bathrooms was the unexpected bonus of the flat, and something we have since found invaluable both when in a rush to get ready for work morning, and when friends and family come to visit, there is almost never a queue... Finally, it's just a nice place to be with lots of space!

Why are you moving? We're moving to grow our space as our family grows. One of our jobs is no longer based in London so we're going to move closer to family now we have a little one to show off to grandparents - and hopefully benefit from some free childcare!

What do you love about the area?Clissold Park is hands down the best park in the whole of London, possibly the country! Such a beautiful park, always planted with gorgeous flowers, the house and park are lovely to walk around come rain or shine. It also had a fantastic play area, paddling pool, two ponds, goats, birds and even deer! It's a great place to enjoy a summers evening and a picnic or take-away from one of the many cafes on Church Street. The hidden gem is the reservoir opposite the house. Ed goes sailing on the lake and we've both done stand up paddle boarding and even paddle board yoga. So peaceful and like you're in the countryside. Likewise for the sister reservoir which is now a nature reserve, along with Coal House cafe which is a lovely brunch spot.

If you like eating and drinking then the options are endless! Turkish is the food of the area, to eat out you must try Gokuzu on Green Lanes, and have the mixed platter to share. The local Turkish next to the estate, The Otantic has less of a buzzing restaurant feel but has super nice staff and is great for a take-away, highly recommend the grilled fish, order when very hungry! On the same run of shops is a corner shop which sells literally everything you might need - including plug sockets! A fish and chip shop, a very helpful pharmacy who will hold a box of baby milk for you when you've run out and a great pub with an excellent pub quiz on a Wednesday night.

There is too much to mention but last but not least, special mention also has to go to The Parlour in Church Street for their salad boxes - as well as friendly staff, and Il Bacio Express for Sicilian food, delicious bread and an aperol spritz in the sunshine! And... and... and...!
