Full description

This immaculately presented and substantially extended Victorian terraced home boasts a thoughtful finish which cleverly models the considerable space for a modern family. Accommodation is set-out over three principle floors and comprises generously proportioned rooms including, to the upper levels, five bedrooms, a gorgeous contemporary en-suite shower-room and additional family bathroom. The ground floor provides impressive living & entertaining space comprising a classic double reception and a separate kitchen-diner with bi-fold doors giving impressive views over a landscaped rear garden. Superbly positioned on a sought-after, tree-lined residential road this wonderful home is located moments from the many attractions of Church Street, William Patten school, excellent transport links and the green, open spaces of Clissold Park. Comments from the owner: What do you love about your home? We bought this house as a probate sale just before we were married. We were lucky to be able to live with Karl's parents while his architect Dad oversaw the complete restoration of the house. The house was taken back to a shell and rebuilt, this included a new wiring and plumbing system. and restoring the floors and sash windows, while a full-height utility room was added in the basement. We have loved growing our family here. Having five bedrooms has enabled grandparents and other guests to visit for lengthy stays. We've loved the year-round light in the kitchen, doing yoga in the loft as the sun rises and playing with the children in the sitting rooms. The garden is an oasis without anyone looking in from the back. Why are you moving? Leaving the house is a difficult decision but we are moving nearer to our son's school so that he has more time at home at each end of the day. What do you love about the area? This area is difficult to beat. We love Clissold Park, Abney Cemetery and the Walthamstow Wetlands and Hackney marshes. We are so close to green open spaces and yet have all the restaurants and nightlife on our doorstep too. Clissold Leisure Centre is fantastic and there are plenty of running and walking groups too. We have two ice cream stores and endless coffee. The community here is tremendous and the families on Kersley Road are a lovely bunch. This is an area where you will come to know many of your neighbours. Stoke Newington creates a loyalty amongst its residents because it's truly a village in the middle of the metropolis.
