What the seller says:

What do you love most about your home?

The character and the history of the house with its high ceilings and spaciousness, as well as the big windows giving lots of light. While the large rooms and huge bathroom initially attracted us to the house, the really special thing we love is the secluded garden. The light-filled glass extension is a favourite place to sit and enjoy the garden from inside, as well as being great for a spot of cloud watching. The underfloor heating makes this our perfect cosy spot to curl up and relax.

Why are you moving?

We are having a complete change of scene, and after many happy decades in the area, are planning on relocating to the countryside. Although we are excited about what our future will hold, there are a lot of things we will miss, from our neighbours and friends, to having everything on our doorstep. We know that we take for granted the convenience of having anything that we want or need to hand.

What do you love about the area?

The village feel created by the range of great independent shops, restaurants and cafés. We love the fact that almost all of the options are so individual and usually run by the owners who really care about their customers. The open spaces of Clissold Park, and its lovely cafe, is a special place to relax, meet friends, or go for a stroll. The West Reservoir Waterside Cafe is a lovely spot to have a drink or a bite to eat overlooking the water, or even for more active pursuits. Abney Park with its heritage and history and woodland is another very special place.

We are also very well-placed for transport with three overground stations, Stoke Newington, Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction services covering all across London with every possible connection to change onto. The bus services and connections from Church Street and the high street are so handy too. It's great for cycling too.
