What do you love most about your home?
It′s cosy in the winter and cool in the summer, and very private being set back in the courtyard with a view across the gardens and not into another flat.
Being on the ground floor with our own front door off the courtyard it felt very different to when we lived on an upper floor with our door off the corridor like many others. It was also very convenient when we had our first child, with pushchair access. Also the apartment has wide corridors unlike period properties which was great for the bikes and pushchairs.
The additional private courtyard at the back was a very useful secure storage area for our bikes and we could hang washing as you are not allowed on the balconies, it was also a soft play area for the kids when we put our mats down.
Why are you moving?
We moved out of town to be closer to family with the arrival of our second child.
What do you love about the area?
It’s a village vibe in central London, there are no busy streets going passed your front door, the private gardens were fantastic for enjoying sunny days, and the kids learning to walk in an secure environment. I still visit the Highbury Hair Studio every month. Highbury Barn offers great quality food and drink shopping with a number of great places to eat in walking distance.
The Drayton Park connection into Moorgate was great as an alternative to the Piccadilly line on the front door. Also buses out of Finsbury park are very regular. The gym and pool in the development were well used and the concierge service helps with those daytime deliveries.
