Full description

Fully refurbished and fitted to an exacting standard, this beautiful home offers an oasis of period style and modern design. Accommodation comprises a welcoming entrance hallway with stairs rising to the first floor, leading into the bright and spacious front aspect reception room with attractive square bay to the front aspect. To the rear of the property, the stunning open plan kitchen/diner is flooded with natural light from orangery style skylight and sliding doors opening onto the well stocked and landscaped private garden. The kitchen area itself comprises an ultra-modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces and tiled splash-back, incorporating inset sink unit, induction hob with overhead extractor, electric oven, and top of the line Miele washing machine and Miele tumble dryer. To the first floor, there are two well proportioned double bedrooms, plus a stylish family bathroom with white suite and elegant metro-tiling. To the second floor, there is an inviting master bedroom suite with rear aspect window, further Velux window, and ample bespoke inbuiltstorage, plus access through to a generous modern shower room with rear aspect. The property is enviably located within just a short walk of Haydons Road station, and within easy access of both South Wimbledon and Wimbledon Park underground stations. Numerous regular bus routes provide excellent links to the surrounding area, and Wimbledon itself is within a short distance for an array of fashionable shops, bars, restaurants and amenities. The area is also well served by excellent schools, and beautiful open spaces. Viewings are strongly recommended. Comments from the owner  What do you love most about your home? This house has the most incredible natural light. The high ceilings in the living area with the large skylight and sliding doors let the outside in and there is no better spot to relax on a sunny day. We also put quite a lot of love into our garden, transforming it with our favourite fragrant herbs and flowers (we also loved that it was maintenance and drought tolerant too!).  Why are you moving? We're sad to leave this house because it was our very first home and holds so many special memories, but an opportunity to renovate a home right near our work was something that we couldn't pass up.  What do you love about the area? What drew us to Wimbledon was how relaxed and leafy, but still well-connected it is to central London (Northern Line in one direction, District Line and trains in the other!). We'll certainly miss our weekend routine of walking to Wimbledon Village for a coffee followed by a walk in the common or weeknight strolls around South Park Gardens which is just down the road. When family visits, we love that a movie theatre and restaurants are just a short walk away too.
