I was first attracted to the property by its location (within walking distance of the City and Canary Wharf) and its large south facing balcony overlooking a private road. The balcony is great for evening drinks and entertaining friends, and has space for outside dining and lounging in the sun. I also really like the bright and modern feel and size of the rooms for a one bed flat (especially the bedroom, which with a king size bed and fitted storage still feels very spacious to other one bedroom apartments). Why are you moving? We are moving because we are looking for more space, as we plan to expand our family in the near future. What do you love about the area? Wapping has a great village feel to it. We love the fact that the high street has traditional family owned shops, including a butchers, fruit & veg shop and a bakery, and there are a great selection of restaurants both in Wapping and nearby St Katherines Dock / Tower Bridge area. There are also some really nice historical riverside pubs in Wapping, including the Prospect of Whitby and Captain Kidd. Being so close to the City means it is very easy to get around, and there are great transport connections with local buses, London Overground (two stops to Jubilee line connections at Canada Water) and the DLR from Shadwell (one stop to Bank). Crossrail will also run from the nearby Whitechapel station. The local Waitrose which is within a 6 minute walk (or 8 minutes if you go via the ornamental canal) is also a real plus!
