Proximity to amenities - leaving aside that the school is literally a 3 minute walk away, the house is ideally placed for several things. You have the 131 and 152 buses to take you into Wimbledon, Kingston, Raynes Park etc. at the top of the road. There is a good parade of shops at the top of the road as well as a great range of restaurants with international cuisines. And we are 5 minute walk from 3 parks - great for kids playgrounds, dog walkers and runners (with daily boot camps!) Blagdon Road Park is a 6 minute walk. At one end of the Burlington Road, you have the Watchman pub, at the other, Tesco Extra, B&Q and Krispy Kreme. Plus New Malden Station is 10 minutes away. Its rare to get such a well-placed property. The neighbours - unlike a lot of areas, people actually speak to their neighbours here. Some of them do a book club and every two years, we shut the road down in the summer for a street party.
