I was also lucky enough to not have to use public transport for my commute working in Old Street/Moorgate, Clerkenwell, Barbican and Chancery Lane - all of which are within walking distance from the flat. Regents Canal is about 2 minutes away which is great for running/walking/cycling, you can wander all the way to Camden and Regents Park or the other way to Victoria Park and Wapping. Camden Passage is a lovely place for vintage shopping, brunch and people watching - I used to spend a lot of weekends there browsing the stalls.
