The property is superbly located within a couple of minutes’ walk of Homerton station with fast and frequent cross-London services, as well as numerous regular bus routes serving the surrounding area. You will aslo benefit from the ability to purchase a residential parking permit for the surrounding area. There are a variety of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and amenities close-by, as well as the beautiful open spaces of nearby Victoria Park and Hackney Marshes. Viewings are strongly recommended.   What the seller says: What do you love most about your home? The dual aspect of the flat means it is really bright and filled with natural light. our chilli plants do so well on the kitchen windowsill! At a particular time in the afternoon, the sun streams into the bedroom and it makes for a lovely afternoon nap. We love our big roof terrace with its great urban landscape, perfect for summer bbqs or catching the sun at the end of the day… We have great neighbours in the block, particulary on our floor, we know many of the residents and feel part of a warm, friendly, supportive community.  There is a communal garden out back, again great for summer bbqs, that also offers the bonus of secure storage for our bikes.  The transport links are excellent, we are literally 2 minutes away from Homerton overground station which means we can get to Kings Cross in 15 minutes, Oxford Circus in less than 20 minutes, Stratford in 8 minutes, Camden in 12 minutes etc. We’ve had an amazing 12 years here with lots of great memories, there is so much going on in Hackney….. but also this is the home where we welcomed our son into the world! Why are you moving? The above is our reason for moving on…. We will be really sad to leave but we would now like more of a family home with extra bedrooms and a garden. What do you love about the area? There is so much we love about the area it’s hard to know where to start! Minutes away is Chatsworth Road with great independent shops, eateries and Sunday market with amazing food stalls. Our favourite places are Pivaz, with its extensive mediterranean brunch menu, Cod and Co fish and chips, Krapow Thai restaurant, and the huge and delicious falafel salad box from Doree Bakery (only a £5!). Chatsworth Road also boasts an independent cinema, The Castle. It’s a stylish 1920’s affair, with a bar serving food, and films for £5 on a Monday! Hatch, just next door, is also great for brunch and drinks, and they have comedy nights and other event nights (they also do discounts for neighbours!). Our favourite local is the Adam and Eve on Homerton High Street, a few minutes walk away. It’s great for Sunday roasts, 2 for 1 burger nights, summer drinks in the garden… A short walk away is the beautiful Victoria park with its gorgeous lakes, pedalos, gardens and the Pavilion café. There’s also an excellent Farmers Market on Sundays and two great pubs with huge gardens that back onto the park. The park host lots of events all year round, so many summer festivals and so many memories… Hackney Wick is one short stop on the overground or a short bike ride or walk along the canal. It offers lots of interesting bars, eateries and nightlife. We love the Crate brewery on the canal (lovely pizza), dinner at Barge East (it’s a Dutch barge), and all the canal side restaurants and bars at Here East, with the deck chairs in the summer…it’s dubbed the Hackney Riveria! Also, it’s very easy to get to London Fields, Broadway Market, Brick Lane and Shoreditch, and the gorgeous Columbia Road Flower Market (it’s nice to walk there along the canal). For shopping, and more great transport links, Stratford and the Olympic Park is 2 stops on the overground. We could go on…
