Top 3 things you love about your home
1 The views of the trees from the sunny balcony and garden. It's an amazing nature refuge in the middle of Hackney, with many birds, bees, butterflies, and even bats.
2 We love our oak wooden floors. We completely reconfigured the flat to be open planned with them throughout. Whilst doing this, we thought it wise to soundproof everything above and below. It's now super quiet too!
3 Great light throughout the year. The bay windows can still light up the living area in the middle of winter.

Three things we love about the area...
1 Excellent neighbours in every direction. We're very lucky to live next to a nice bunch of courteous, friendly people.
2 Plenty of great neighbourhood cafes (Melo, Jam Cafe), restaurants (Oren, Casa Fofo, amazing Turkish), and bakeries (Brunswick East).
3 Proximity to Hackney Downs, Clissold Park, and London Fields. We walk and/or cycle to all 3 most weekends.

What's the area like?
Dalston is incredibly diverse. It's the friendliest part of London we've ever lived. Great bars and restaurants. Good transport links nearby (back when people commuted)

What is parking like?
Excellent. A school sits on the entire block opposite, so there are literally half the houses in the street and parking on both sides.

How busy is the road, is it quiet at night?
The road is generally quiet. There's moderate traffic for 15min in the morning and afternoons during school pick-ups/drop-offs, but it keeps moving
I'm currently working from home, how does that work in this property? The children's bedroom became a home office during lockdown. It has been fantastic. Bright, warm, and quiet.

What's the internet like?
We consistently get 200-300Mbps with Virgin Media.
