What do you love most about your home? We love coming home to the large windows in the living room/kitchen and bedroom which lets in the afternoon sun and totally lifts the space. Our south-facing balcony offers a lovely view out to the green park on the Estate with large trees and a small playground, where we often sit and enjoy in the summertime. It's a very pleasant and quiet neighbourhood and we feel very safe and comfortable here.

Why are you moving? We are merely moving because we want more space and also wanted to try take advantage of the Stamp duty Tax exemption.

What do you love about the area? We love living in Clapton, it's the quieter side of Hackney with a large range of local amenities. The main one being Hackney Downs Park right on our doorstep which is a 2-minute walk away. We play tennis regularly on their courts and we really benefitted from having such a large park so close to us during lockdown. There is a gallery and gym down there which have lot's of good events and classes. The Estate is lovely. It's pretty quiet, there is a good mix of people and a real community spirit. We're friends with the neighbours on our floor and there is a community garden on the green which we joined recently and got to meet a lot of our local community with the bonus of learning how to garden.

We are spoilt for choice with train stations nearby; Hackney Downs, Hackney Central, Rectory Road and Clapton which are all within a 10-15 minute walk. Lower Clapton road provides a good range of bus routes and has a lot of trendy amenities; Casey's bakery (must try their sourdough bread), 'My neighbours the dumplings' is a great Chinese restaurant/Sake bar, and a handful of supermarkets & organic food stores. Our favourite local pub is The Star just by Hackney Downs park, we know the manager and it's a real quirky little gem. And lastly, Hackney town centre is just down the road where you've got high street shops, cinema, restaurants and a good nightlife scene - we recommend Bohemia place just opposite the station which has a good selection of bars.
