Newly developed Hackney Downs Studios offers everything from fine dining to plastic-free shops and pottery classes. Restaurants like all of Chatsworth Road, SoDo, My Neighbours The Dumplings, Yardsale, mean there′s always a good option for eating out or local takeaway. The Pembury Tavern is my favourite local pub, and it′s now run by the brewery named after the roundabout it sits on, Five Points, just at the bottom of the hill. There′s also the huge garden of the Clapton Hart, a new local with very friendly staff, The Mermaid, plus local breweries abound, and the ′Hackney Beer Mile′ by Hackney Central station offers a wealth of choices and options for nights out.
