We live in a park with floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking the river and the opposite nature reserve -- what's not to love? Basically, we have the best of both worlds: we're in a quiet spot full of greenery and nature but still close to all the funky bars, shops and restaurants of Clapton, Homerton and Hackney. Why are you moving? I own this flat alone but if we combine resources we can afford a bigger place and own it together as a couple. We're not actually moving far cos this area is awesome. What do you love about the area? We're near four great pubs, all with outside areas and one of which sits directly on the river. We'll especially miss the pub quiz at the Princess of Wales, the garden at the Clapton Hart, the atmosphere at the Crooked Billet and the food at the Mermaid. Walking or running along the canal and admiring all the amazing narrowboats and wildlife. There's so much greenery nearby -- more than it even looks like on the map. Springfield Park, Leyton Marsh, Lee Valley Park, Hackney Marshes, Millfields Park, Hackney Downs... I could go on. We're near Chatsworth Road market, and even when the market isn't on, the shops, restaurants and cafes up there are awesome, favourites being Doree bakery and Venerdi, an Italian restaurant. The independent Castle cinema on Chatsworth Road is a must, even if just to see their cool bar. Upper Clapton Road is another nearby option for great bars, restaurants and shops -- Mad Atelier does gorgeous furniture, Lion Records does coffee and vinyls and My Neighbours the Dumplings is our favourite restaurant of anywhere in Hackney.
