What the seller says:

What do you love most about your home?

1. The master bedroom is a lovely sanctuary - it's spacious enough and with high ceilings to never feel cramped; yet also cosy especially on wintry nights with our full-length curtains drawn.

2. Three high-spec bathrooms mean that when we have guests around we can afford them the luxury of their own separate bathroom next to the spare room downstairs.

3. It's on a quiet road with a calming view of luscious green trees most of the year round - you almost forget you're in London! In fact, there are so few people or cars that we often eat and spend time outside in the garden in the warmer months.

Why are you moving?

We are ready for a slightly more traditional and larger family house; but honestly we're feeling quite bittersweet about leaving as we've taken a lot of care in making it a home. We were by no means desperate to make the move but when a 'for sale' sign came up on a house around the corner - in fact, the street name is the same so we would technically be neighbours to the buyer of ours - we decided to seize the opportunity. We love the area and the build-quality of our house so much that our ideal was just a slightly bigger version of ours, which is exactly what we're hoping to get.

What do you love about the area?

For us, Walthamstow is the perfect area - it has a community feel, plenty of green spaces, lovely independent places to eat and drink; but you can also be in central London in no time on the Victoria Line. Specifically as a family, we love taking our son to the play area in Lloyd Park (10 minutes walk from the house) complete with a big sand pit! Most Saturdays you'll find us there as that's also when the weekly food market happens.

On the topic of food, Eat 17 in the quaint Walthamstow Village is probably our favourite restaurant in the area. We actually went for a celebratory meal the day we decided to buy the flat back in 2018 and it kind of sealed the deal for us! Next door to it is the most upmarket Spar you'll ever see where they sell ice cream mochi - the dream!. Another thing which Walthamstow's got going for it are its abundance of breweries which gets a big thumbs up from Jim.

We've entertained the idea of leaving Walthamstow but struggled to find anywhere that ticks all the same boxes. We've felt at home ever since moving here 2 years ago and looking forward to sticking around for a while longer!
