What do you love most about your home?
The open plan kitchen/dinning/family room is a great space to be in. It's East facing so gets wonderful morning sun while remaining light though-out the day due to the roof light and glass bifolds on to the garden. Opening up the bifold completely transforms the feel of the room as well and gives great indoor/outdoor flow. I like having a victorian look but with modern insulation and heating meaning it's very warm and cosy, particularly in the snug. Afternoon sun in the main bedroom is great too. Having massive amounts of storage in the loft (which is full height with boarded floorboards) is such a change for London, I finally felt like I didn't have to feel cramped in or constantly be searching for places to store stuff.
What do you love about the area?
Walthamstow is great for its transport links and plenty of green space. Definitely worth checking out the cycling and walking paths through the Walthamstow Marshes and around the canal and waterworks. In terms of the house's position, it's great being roughly equal distance between Waltham Village and Lloyd Park/William Morris Gallery (which are the two areas I spend the most time at in Walthamstow). The supermarket is on the way home from the park and station so that's handy too.
Accommodation comprises entrance hall with understairs storage, stairs rising to the first floor and attractive wood flooring (evident throughout the ground floor), leading into the inviting front aspect reception room with attractive square bay window and ample space for relaxing and entertaining. To the rear of the property, the beautiful open plan kitchen/diner is flooded with natural light from orangery style skylight window and bi-folding doors opening onto the private garden. The kitchen area itself, with an abundance of inbuilt storage, comprises a modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces and breakfast bar area incorporating inset sink unit, induction hob with overhead extractor, electric oven, and further space for appliances. To the first floor, there are two well proportioned double bedrooms, plus a family bathroom with modern suite and elegant tiling.
The property is enviably located just a short walk from both Walthamstow Central and Wood Street stations, as well as regular bus routes, all providing excellent connections into Central London, the City and the West End. The area is well served by an array of fashionable pubs, bars, restaurants and amenities, as well as cinema and restaurants at 'The Scene', and the beautiful open spaces of Lloyd Park - home to the famous 'William Morris' Gallery.
Walthamstow Village is also close-by for a further range of stylish eateries, pubs and bars.
