Full description

Available on a chain-free basis is this well presented 3 bedroom semi-detached home on a large plot with excellent potential to extend and planning permission granted for side, rear and loft conversions. Please enquire for the planning drawings and we will be happy to share them.

The current house has been updated by the owners with attention to adding character back into the home. The log burner and wooden floors make for a cosy feel in the through lounge - the wallpaper and exposed wooden staircase give you a warm welcome as you come through the front door. The kitchen and utility room wrap around the rear of the house and garage while there is off street parking as well as plenty of space in the garage at the front. Upstairs it has been fitted with a new bathroom suite and separate toilet, ideal for family life. The two main bedrooms are sizeable doubles while the 3rd bedroom will make an excellent child's room, home office or guest room.

Located in the sought-after area of Upper Walthamstow you are a short walk from both the vibrant community of Wood Street, with a great selection of cafes, pubs and shops including the historic Wood Street Indoor Market, and the tranquility of Epping Forest. The Village and Walthamstow Central can both be accessed on foot or a short journey on public transport. Beyond this Wood Street Station gives fast access to the City with regular trains to Liverpool Street and connections to the Victoria Line at Walthamstow Central.

What the seller says:

What do you love most about your home?

Our home feels like a complete escape from the city, quiet and peaceful with no passing traffic. The golden light that streams in from the garden in the mornings gazing out at so much nature whilst cooking big breakfasts. Watching the children climb higher and higher in the apple tree, and collecting apples to make pies and cakes. In the evening the sunset turns the walls bright pink, with views from the hilltop across Walthamstow. The house has always felt so comforting, warm and bright.

Why are you moving?

We were heartbroken to leave the house just as we were making it into our dream home, but my husband's job relocated us to the US.

What do you love about the area?

It is just a short walk to Epping Forest, so wonderful for the kids to climb trees, collect autumn leaves, explore. In winter when it snows the sledding is incredible. Wood Street is fabulous for a wander, so many independent shops, markets and cafes. Wandering to the Brewery or the Village on weekends and knowing almost everyone we saw. Such quick connections into town via the rail to Hackney or the tube to central London, as well as the proximity to Stratford with it's huge Olympic park and Westfield. The community is so welcoming, creative and fun. There's always local events, pop ups and parties to attend. Lloyd Park is just a short bus or cycle away for skateboarding, summer festivals and lounging with friends, as well as the gorgeous William Morris Gallery, endless interiors inspiration. It's also extremely quick to escape London for trips via the A406, we loved how easily we could get to the countryside without sitting in hours of traffic.
