Comments from the owner:

What do you love most about your home?

When we bought the property, one of the first things we did was recommission the ground floor fireplaces. There's nothing quite like coming home on a cold winter's night to a cosy open fire - or two! With young children in the house, however much fun we have together as a family, the adults need to have a space to retreat to and our loft room with an ensuite bathroom is our little piece of heaven. And you can literally see the heavens from the huge flat roof windows we've installed in both the loft rooms. Up there you can lose yourself, forget your troubles and float away into a daydream. That is something we will miss.

Why are you moving?

As our 3 children grow up (they're aged between 4 and 9 right now) they need more space and we no longer need to be near the station or Walthamstow town. When we first moved to the area we were both working full time and used to commute so proximity to the station was really important. We now run our own business locally and just want to spend more time with our children and so we are moving further out of London.

What do you love about the area?

We love this area for it's quiet and friendly almost village-like atmosphere. We know many of our neighbours by name and most by sight and there's always a friendly hello when we step out of the house for the school run or on a trip to the local shop. We're really close to the Lea Valley and there's an entrance to Walthamstow Wetlands just a few minute's walk from here, which immediately takes you out of the urban and into the open green of the reservoir. In the summer there are numerous small local breweries which run tap rooms outside and for coffee (and some hands on making if you fancy) there's Blackhorse Workshop with it's Wood St Coffee cafe just around the corner. We're also blessed with 2 Ofsted 'Good' rated primary schools within walking distance - one very modern with great facilities and the other tucked away in a cosy purpose built building with a fantastically warm atmosphere and great teaching staff. Our children have gone to both schools at one time or another and we all have fond memories of fun times had in both settings.

A useful family bathroom with white suite completes the generous ground floor accommodation. To the first floor, there are two well proportioned bedrooms - the front bedroom with attractive bay window - plus a large family bathroom with period style suite. To the second floor, there are a further two bedrooms, including an inviting master bedroom flooded with natural light from Velux style skylight windows. The master bedroom offers access to generous eaves space, as well as to a modern en-suite shower room with rear aspect.

The property is enviably located within easy reach of Blackhorse Road station and just slightly further afield, Walthamstow Central, as well as regular bus routes, all providing excellent connections into Central London, the City and the West End.
