Comments from the owner:
What do you love about the flat?
The reason we first fell in love with this flat was its unique location and look. The double heighted ceiling and beautiful sash windows in the main living area create a stunning space which we have not seen anywhere else. On top of that the street (path) is very quiet and like a proper old fashioned neighbourhood and community, which is no surprise given how close it is to the village.
Why are you selling?
Sadly, my wife and I are selling as we are looking to grow our family and so need more space as well as move to South London to be closer to our parents and siblings. If things were different, we would happily keep the flat for the future and hope to return one day!
What are your favourtie things about the area?
The thing we will miss most about the area is the hub of like minded people, the buzz of the village and the great/quirky pubs and spaces. If you have a chance, do go to God's Own Junkyard, followed by The Wild Card brewery - ten minutes walk from the flat and always great spots to take visiting friends.
Accommodation comprises entrance leading into the bright and spacious, open plan reception/kitchen, interconnected by an attractive archway, with beautiful exposed brickwork and stripped wood flooring and offering wonderful space for relaxing, entertaining and dining. The kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit, hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. There is a well sized double bedroom with space for free-standing furniture and a modern shower room with three piece suite and tiled walls. From the main reception area, a fixed ladder provides access up into the vaulted ceiling area where a mezzanine level spanning the length of the property provides a fantastic bonus space with exposed beams and dual aspect windows flooding the area, as well as the reception below, with natural light. This space offers an ideal area for either a second bedroom, or as a work space/office.
The property is on one of the most sought after 'roads' of Walthamstow Village. Moments from the delights of Orford Road the path comes to St Mary's Church and The Ancient House, while the other takes you to Walthamstow Central station in a couple of minutes stroll. Walthamstow is well served by an array of fashionable pubs, bars, restaurants and amenities, as well as cinema and restaurants at 'The Scene', and the beautiful open spaces of Lloyd Park - home to the famous 'William Morris' Gallery. Walthamstow Village is also on your doorstep for a further range of stylish eateries, pubs and bars.
