What do you love most about your home?

The amount of natural light that floods through the property is amazing. Its high ceilings, glass panels above doorways, and windows in every space mean light bounces off the walls and it always feels airy, bright and fresh. The flat also has a great layout, and spaces flow really nicely from one part to the rest. It's also great having the master bedroom upstairs so you can feel like you're going upstairs to bed! The amount of storage is also incredible and something I have definitely appreciated!

I also always appreciated how the flat isn't looked in on, which is a rarity in London. You have a wide expanse of gardens behind the flat meaning lots of trees and wildlife - there's a family of foxes that are always playing around in a garden next door.

Why are you moving?

The truth is we don't really want to move - we are so sad to leave this beautiful flat! The only reason we are moving is to be closer to family and the coast.


What do you love about the area?

The flat couldn't be in a more ideal location. You have easy access to a heap of beautiful parks - from the wildness of Epping Forest, Walthamstow Wetlands and Hollow Pond, to the more social and sporty space of Walthamstow Marshes. We also have beautiful streets and great community hubs and markets - especially Walthamstow Village which is a foodie's haven. It absolutely feels like a village thanks to the community initiatives, spaces for people to come together, and beautiful old Church and almshouses. London Fields, Broadway Market and Chatsworth Road are just a short bike ride away as well.

Everything you need is right round the corner - from Post Office to great places to eat, to niche food and wine shops, to florists, to banks.

There's fantastic transport; the flat is a 10 min walk from Walthamstow Station which has both overground and underground access. There are also plenty of bus routes, and lots of Cycle Highways which run through Walthamstow.

I'd also add the neighbours into this - you have plenty of families who have lived here for decades, mixed in with new home owners and young families. This means there's a real community feel and people look out for each other. I had someone who had wrongly had a package delivered to their house, walk all the way down to deliver it themselves. Our own neighbours are incredibly warm and welcoming, and we've felt very lucky to have them.

It doesn't feel like you're in London... but with all the benefits of living in London!
