What do you love most about your home?

We love the house, which is situated on a quiet street and considered to be one of the best in the area, for so many reasons. The size of the downstairs living/dining/kitchen/garden area is incredible and is an excellent space to live, eat and entertain in.
On warm days, when the bi-fold doors are opened right up and the sun is shining, it really is special. The garden gets direct sunlight from about midday, all the way through until sunset, which was perfect for BBQ's and sunbathing.
The kitchen island was a great hub for the home too. It would be perfect for a family to have that kind of space with lots of room to roam around, both inside and out.
The bedrooms on the first floor are all double and generously sized, making all of our guests happy when visiting but the master bedroom is unbelievable, clearly being the show stopper with so much space, two amazing Juliet balconies, and a lovely ensuite.
We love the exposed brickwork throughout the house and feature bay windows. The unobstructed view over Canary Wharf from the master bedroom is excellent too.

Why are you moving?

We are selling as our jobs are likely going to take us home to Scotland soon and we don't want to manage a property as a landlord from there. It's important to note we are chain-free sellers, so this is a great opportunity to close quickly, hassle-free, and beat the stamp duty rise, potentially saving £15k.

What do you love about the area?

We loved how well connected the area was, being a short walk to Canning Town (Jubilee and DLR lines. Crossrail is also coming to Custom House, a 15 min walk away ). The Jubilee Line is 24 hour at the weekend and travel to Oxford Street was less than 45 mins door to door. We could be anywhere in London quickly and it was easy to get out to Kent or Essex, which the property is well placed to take advantage of.
We also loved how pretty the street was when the trees lining the street bloomed in summer. The neighbours were all so welcoming to us and everyone looked out for each other, so the sense of community was excellent. The ease of the on-street parking was great and being so quiet, I never failed to get a space right outside our door.
