Full description

This is an excellently presented and renovated 2 double bedroom Victorian period property offering a wonderful starter home for first-time buyers, or a great next step for those upsizing from a flat. The ground floor houses an inviting open-plan living kitchen space with patio doors leading out to the rear garden. It also retains some lovely features including high ceilings, wooden front door with stained glass and an eye-catching fireplace in the living room.

Upstairs the bright master bedroom comes with its own dressing area and a lovely bay window. The dressing area was originally a 3rd bedroom and could be rearranged to provide another bedroom or home office if required. There is a second large double room and modern bathroom with a white suite, metro tiles and contrast grouting. The loft currently offers plenty of storage space, but also has the potential for loft conversion as many houses on the street have done already.

The ground floor garden has been well maintained and landscaped to give an excellent entertaining space flowing out from the living room. It's a South-West facing sun filled garden with decking, grass area and low-maintenance borders.

The local area ticks all the boxes with both a vibrant community, open green space and great commuter links all in easy reach. For weekend and evening hotspots head to the great selection of cafes, delis and restaurants on the nearby Francis Road where you'll also find a variety of independent shops. For a bit more peace and quiet take a stroll to one of the many great surrounding parks; Wanstead flats, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or Hackney Marshes are all nearby. And for the workday commute the Central Line is just nearby at Leytonstone tube station, plus great cycling options including routes along the Regents Canal towpath.

Comments from the owner:

What do you love most about your home?

Casa 51 is perfect for entertaining. The open plan kitchen dining space leading out to the garden is perfect for hosting BBQs and summer parties. When we viewed the property we fell in love with the garden especially as its a sun trap in the summer!

The Sun shines from 10am to 6pm ish during the warmer months and the roman viaduct / train bridge is a spectacular sight to view while relaxing in the garden (also at night with the help of LED lights). The frequency of the trains is very low and as most of them are electric the noise is not loud or uncomfortable for the ears. I used to love watching the trains go by as it gave me a real "urban city" feel of London.

Inside the house is cosy and comfortable. I loved coming back from travelling, opening the door and looking around the place. The cosy and comfortable feeling I got always stayed with me.

Why are you moving?

Honest answer: Couple separation and relocation otherwise we would never have sold the property.

What do you love about the area?

The area just keeps getting better! More and more independent cafes, restaurants and bars are popping up, Francis road is very popular and is 5 min walk. A new coffee shop opening in a few weeks at the end of the road too! We are only a short bike ride from the Olympic Park and the canals and the central line is so convenient to get anywhere fast. There are moments you forget you are in London which I love.

It always took me just 5 minutes to walk to Leytonstone tube station. Once at the station there are trains every 3-4 minutes taking you to central or north east London. Perfect for commuting into the city or returning from nights out as the central line is 24 hrs during weekends
