The best thing about living in our flat is the location. We are a 20-minute walk to Shoreditch and Spitalfields, and a 30-minute walk to Tower Bridge. It is conveniently located to lots of green space including Mile End Park and Victoria Park which is reached by a pleasant stroll or jog (depending on how energetic you feel) down the Regent's Canal.
As well as its great location the flat is very well connected. Whitechapel tube is a ten-minute walk with the District, Hammersmith and City and East London Lines. Whitechapel is a stop on the soon-to-be-completed Elizabeth line which will take you into central London in 10 minutes. You can also get to the DLR line (Shadwell) or the Central line (Bethnal Green) both 10 minutes by foot
Nearby is Rinkoff's one of the East End's oldest bakeries, for a cheeky cronut (you have to try it) and a stone's throw from Tayabs, E1's premier Punjabi restaurant. For culture, there's independent arthouse cinema Genesis and The Whitechapel Gallery. For drinking, there's a handful of historic pubs like the Blind Beggar, The George Tavern and the Grapes in Wapping and a host of fun bars in Shoreditch and Brick Lane. There's even a Wetherspoons in Stepney Green.
It is a spacious flat and very well laid out. It has been recently redecorated with new carpets fitted, adding to the feeling of light and space. The large kitchen is separate and could be used as a dining area though we prefer to eat in the sitting room. It's really convenient having room to cook and spread out as there is a lot of counter space.
We both now work from home and as well as having our designated desks we have other break-out spaces available to use. We used to rent the second bedroom and even though there were 3 people living here we never got on top of one other. There is also a balcony which is big enough for a table and chairs, perfect during the summer or for an early morning coffee.

The fashionable areas of nearby Shoreditch, Spitalfields and Brick Lane provide an array of stylish shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and the immediate area provides a further abundance of local shops including the famed Rinkoffs bakery and a number of historic pubs.
